Abstract
With the school as a partner, a university department has been working with the school as a learning organization, leading the school through a silent revolution, tackling problems, changing mindsets, and working towards improving classroom practices. The partnership is a medium term effort to revitalize the school and re-model it as a learning organization. The purpose of this study is to document and analyse the experiences of a school-university partnership from the planning phase until the first anniversary of the initiation of the programme. Using qualitative research methodologies, this study focuses on demonstrating the challenges confronting an alliance between two remarkably different educational institutions.
