Abstract
This research focuses on the use of a musical approach for acquiring Mandarin-Chinese as a second language with young children. A set of music materials was developed for a group of 6-8 year olds 'non-Chinese' speaking children. These materials were used in their 'Mandarin-Chinese' program in school.
