Abstract: | "In this research, we explored the potential effectiveness of developing and deploying a seamless Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) environment to help students learn Chinese. Our research questions are: 1. How could the designed MALL environment and learning process affect pupils' competencies, attitudes and self-efficacy in CL writing in general, and proverb usage in particular? 2. How could the designed MALL environment settle into the ecology of schooling for sustainability and scalability? 3. Could the pupils involved in the one-year main study sustain their motivation in the mobilised out-of-class activities? How could the teachers develop additional interventions to sustain pupils' motivation?"-- [p. 2]. |
