Abstract:
This short paper attempts to provide an updated brief examination of hyperlexia covering on its changing definition, prevalence, signs and symptoms as well as the currently available strategies to help children with hyperlexia. The author has also incorporated the Triple-D model of teaching and the CCAS framework to help paint a clearer picture for educators to navigate through the planning that will support the holistic development of the child with hyperlexia. Consequently, the educator can envision what can be done to help the child see
the light at the end of the tunnel and the journey together with the child to see the light can be a fulfilling one.
