Abstract:
This paper describes how pastoral care is delivered in the United Kingdom. The paper proposes a framework for a three-fold approach to pastoral care in Singapore schools and outlines how one in Singapore schools is incorporating pastoral care into its school system. In addition, this paper touches upon the possible effects this innovation has on teachers in terms of their roles, skills and training. Implications for research in the area of pastoral care are outlined.
