Abstract: | Artikel ini membincangkan tentang etimologi, yakni sejarah pertumbuhan bahasa Melayu, dan morfologi, iaitu tentang sistem pembentukan kata. Penulis juga menyentuh bagaimana sesuatu kata boleh dipengaruhi oleh bahasa asing daripada pelbagai bangsa dan juga dari negara-negara sekeliling. This article discusses etymology, which is the history of Malay language development, and morphology, viz. the systematic formation of words. The author opines that a word can be influenced by other foreign languages from different groups of people as well as the neighbouring countries . |
