Abstract
The theory of symmetry groups of isometries and frieze groups in the continuous plane is reviewed. The notions of arithmetic straight lines, distance and neighbourhood in the digital plane are studied. Definitions of isometries such as translations and half-turns for digital plane are proposed. The digital frieze groups for the particular line 0 ≤ X - 3y < 3 are derived. The results obtained here apply also to the more general class of digital straight lines 0 ≤ X - by < b.
