However in Theatre, one cannot help but to recognise the presence of Science in the form of technological equipments such as lighting consoles, sound amplifiers and projectors. Furthermore the process of lighting on stage requires knowledge of Physics: the best angles to best illuminate the performers. The building of a stage undergoes a process of mechanics to enable that the stage is stable, secure and safe for the performers. Thus, it suggests that there is an integration of Science in Theatre. Which makes one wonder: is there a relationship between Theatre and Science, such that if one is absent, the other will not be able to function at its optimal?
Therefore this academic paper aims to explore the relationship between Theatre and Science and if such a relationship can make theatre-making more effective.118 15
