Abstract

In this paper, several fallacies about the extension of the formula 𝑑/𝑑π‘₯ (sin π‘₯) = cos π‘₯ to the erroneous formula 𝑑/𝑑π‘₯ (sin π‘₯Β°) = cos π‘₯Β° are discussed. In a Commognitive Theory Framework, misconceptions by β€˜newcomers’ can be traced to the use of the word β€œunit”.
