Abstract
Penulis mengenal pasti pelbagai ragam bahasa Melayu iaitu bahasa pasar/kutu, bahasa percakapan, bahasa sastera dan bahasa baku. Penulis membincangkan masalah penggunaan bahasa Melayu, punca masalah serta langkah-langkah yang boleh mengatasi masalah tersebut.
The writer identifies Malay language varieties such as bazaar Malay (a Malay pidgin), spoken Malay, literary and the standard language. He also discusses problems of the Malay language usage, its causes as well as measures to overcome the problems.
