Abstract: | This project follows from an earlier NRF-funded project on Statecraft X, a game-based curriculum for Secondary 3 students in social studies. As part of a three-week curriculum, students play the Statecraft X game, which focuses on the topic “principles of governance,” outside of class time. In class, teachers facilitate student learning by means of dialogic pedagogy. They help students make sense of in-game events and distil significant themes and values related to the interplay between governance and citizenship. |
