Abstract
The spectrum of the v12 fundamental band of ethylene-12C2H3D was recorded with an unapodized resolution of 0.004 cm-' in the frequency range of 1330 to 1470 cm-' using the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic technique. Rovibrational constants for the upper state (v12 = 1) up to five quartic centrifugal distortion terms were derived for the first time by assigning and fitting a total of 870 infrared transitions using a Watson's A-reduced Hamiltonian in the P representation. The root-mean-square (rms) deviation of the fit of transitions of the A-type v12 band was 0.000443 cm-'. The band is centered at 1400.762811 ± 0.000041 cm-'.
