Abstract
"The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of an integrated English and Literature curriculum, named the Literature-Driven English Curriculum (LDEC) in improving the language skills of Normal Technical students of two secondary schools in Singapore. Using a contextual and a multimodal approach to the learning of English language skills, this research aims to improve the writing and reading comprehension skills as well as increase the motivational level of students' learning." -- p. 2.
