"This study aims to contribute to our understanding of multilingual development by: (a) identifying the strategies used by children who are learning to read using dual language text; (b) identifying the strategies used by parents and guardians in working with children who are learning to read using dual language text; (c) exploring the nature of the transfer of strategies, concepts and skills between languages; (d) exploring the impact on metalinguistic understanding and comprehension of reading a story simultaneously in two languages; and (e) studying the effect of the reading activities on children's evolving personal and learner identities." -- p. 2.

"The main purpose of this project is to develop, implement and evaluate a guided-inquiry curriculum using the Physics by Inquiry (PbI) instructional approach. We wanted to investigate the effect of the inquiry-based curriculum and instruction on students' conceptual development and attitude towards the learning of Science. The research questions guiding the project were: 1) What are the favourable modifications in adapting the PbI instructional approach for improving the learning of lower secondary Science in Singapore? 2) What are the differences in the learning outcomes when students learn Physics through the inquiry approach as compared to the standard classroom practices? 3) What are the perceptions of teachers and students on teaching and learning Physics by inquiry in the classroom?" -- p. 2.

"The study investigated the English Language proficiency of primary school English-medium student teachers enrolled at NIE using a validated language testing instrument, IELTS. Through the use of the IELTS results, it assessed the student teachers' strengths and weaknesses in the language and identified improvement steps."-- [p. 1].

To examine the nature of pathological gaming with the inclusion of a clinical sample of clients at the Child Guidance Clinic (CGC), and to compare this with a sample from schools. 2. To explore coping strategies used by students to help themselves and counselling strategies used by counsellors. 3.
