Abstract
In this project, we have successfully developed nine physics experiments based on the 'A' level syllabus. After the initial stage of design and development was completed, the experiments were tried and tested in actual junior college (JC) laboratories. Based on the feedback gathered, the experiments were modified/improvised. The revised experiments were again tested in three other JCs. Opinions and suggestions by both students and teachers were considered in further revisions of the experiments before the experiments were finalized. The experiments developed cover quite a wide range of topics in classical physics including optics, electromagnetism, waves and vibration as well as mechanics, which includes circular motion. With the assistance from the Curriculum Planning and Development Division (CPDD) of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in liaising with the JCs, the final version of the developed experiments were introduced and shared with JC teachers via an in-service course conducted at National Institute of Education (NIE). The course INS2074 obtained high scores for both usefulness and satisfaction.
