基于数据 和对 分 , 文 出整合两 学习APP 和优势,在功 和内容上 好 优化和 合, 和整合出一 功 全 内容 完善 学习APP, 好地帮助学习、 忆和实 。

Mobile learning has become the trend of future learning method with the recent development of information technology and portable devices. Countless learning applications (APPs) on these mobile platforms provide users with various learning experiences and resources. The digital interface and multi-media presentation of these APPs help to cultivate learning interest. Its portability and customization to individual preference help to improve learning efficiency.

Besides the traditional classroom-based learning, Mandarin learning APPs provide another mode for learning Mandarin as a second language. They serve various purposes of language learning. Among them, those Chinese vocabulary learning APPs are the
most frequently used ones, helping users to understand, memorize and practice Chinese vocabularies.

This paper introduces and compares two categories of these Chinese vocabulary learning APPs, dictionary APPs and vocabulary-practicing APPs. Two typical and mostly used mobile learning APPs from each category are chosen for the comparative study, Pleco and TrainChinese for the dictionary category and ChineseSkill and HelloChinese for the vocabulary-practicing category. Based on numbers and real examples, we summarize the advantages and disadvantages of each APP along various dimensions such as the user interface, functions and content. Recommendations for improvement are then discussed.

Based on the data summary and comparative analysis, this paper discusses the possibility to combine the two categories of Chinese vocabulary learning APPs to include all the advantages of different APPs in a single hybrid APP with more organized functions and content as well as better interface to assist users to search and translate,
understand and memorize, and practice Chinese vocabulary more efficiently.
